The PhD Program in RNA Biology is a coordinated, interdisciplinary and interinstitutional program in the field of RNA biology.
It offers PhD students a collaborative platform in an internationally competitive research area spanning organic chemistry, biophysics, biochemistry, structural, molecular and cellular biology, bioinformatics, and physiology.
Participating groups are located at ETH Zürich and the Universities of Bern and Zürich.

Summer schools
Bi-annual summer schools, research seminars, and lectures support scientific training throughout the PhD.
Travel grants
Participants can apply once during their PhD for a travel grant to attend a scientific conference.

At the start of the PhD, participants must hold a Master’s degree or equivalent from a university. Students are enrolled and receive their PhD degree from the host institution of their respective PI.
